The IEBC has revealed the differences in voter registration that happened previously and now. The commission has revealed that the majority of the currently registered voters are from Central region. The registration that was done in the previous election was not as tough as the ongoing exercise because of the huge number of unregistered voters.

The counties now lead in Voter registration include; Tharaka Nithi, Mombasa, Kirinyaga and Bungoma. The commission urged youths to register because they got Identification cards. Voting is the future of the Country.

There are areas where the exercise did not start as expected due to technical problems and weather. Some of the areas are mainly from central Rift, they did not start the exercise due to climatic problems.

The exercise will proceed for a whole month and will be targeting 9Million people who have Identification cards but with no Voters cards. The Parties have been urged to support the process and initiate good energy in mobilising youths to register for the coming elections.
