President Kenyatta today launched a foot bridge at Buxton Mombasa. The foot bridge will act as an interface between Buxton stage and estate. The bridge will ease the traffic which always occurs at the Buxton lights.

The bridge which cost the government Ksh. 600 Million has made the Mombasa city to appear decent. Though there is a lot of garbage scattered around, it has also beautified the city.
In the opening ceremony, the president also ushered more projects including the upgrading of the estates and continuation of road construction projects. The road projects include; Mariakani- Bamba road, Malindi- Kulalu road and Kwale -Msambweni road.

The president also provided a plea to do a lot to the people of Mombasa and coast region at large. According to the president, if he will garner more votes from the coast then he promised to change the life of the coastal residents including starting the Lamu Port and many more projects.
