Kongowea has the First FIFA standard football pitch in Kenya, soon to be opened official in Mombasa by Hassan Joho.

The Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has now made the critics shut their mouths after he went to his ongoing proposed FIFA standard stadium in Uwanja wa Mbuzi in Kongowea.(PHOTOS BELOW) The Governor also visited the ongoing constructions and rehabilitations of main five social halls in Mombasa.


The Governor added on the completion of the Uwanja wa Mbuzi stadium will change the face of Mombasa. The county has on one sports stadium. He added that the VOK county space is the other site proposed for the second stadium. " We are looking for two more areas from Likoni and Changamwe to build stadiums. My aim is to make Mombasa a business and recreational Hub." Said the governor.

"We were given 17Billion since 2013 and now I'm waiting for the 20 Billion as what the president said and we kick off the VOK stadium before the year ends. I urge the county to elect me in order to finish what I wanted Mombasa to be." He added.

I don't mind what other people will tell me but when you look at my opponents they are quiet. Thanks to our senator Omar Hassan who has made an effort of at least getting 17 Billion to our county." Said the Governor.

The governor is very close to being crowned as the "Sultan" of the  Coast region. He has been really Vocal on some issues affecting the Region. The Governor heads other governors in a Coast region tour to maintain the region as NASA zone. "The governor invited the president to come and see for himself rather than being told by his people."A County official talked to the media.
