The Coast region coordinator Nelson Marwa has taken his fight to the Kenya Defense Forces(KDF) over the Boni Forest mission. The Coordinator said that the KDF failed to secure the Country from its borders.

The Coast region coordinator said that the KDF failed to secure Boni forest and also failed to evict Alshabaab from the forest. The Lamu county commissioner  Joseph Kanyiri said that the KDF did what they thought to be good for the people of Lamu after several attacks.

"The KDF did a shoddy job in Boni forest. I have no doubt that we have incompetent KDF who lack skills in forest invasion." Said Nelson Marwa.

The county commissioner defended the KDF move to the Boni forest in contrast with the statements made by the Coast region coordinator.

Nelson Marwa is expected to visit the county next week where he will have a crucial meeting with the Lamu county commissioner Mr. Kanyiri.
The government vacated people from the forest and the mission did not bore any fruits. The KDF did not do anything in the forest. According to the latest information, people who are non-native herders should not be found in the forest or in any attack prone areas.
