Another group of Medical practitioners also joins their fellow nurse on the street following their CBA blocked by the State. The countrywide Nurses strike has affected so many people as the majority of the Hospital are closed.



The other group of the Medical field joins their fellows following a discussion that started three months ago and has not been born any fruits. They threatened to start their strike today.



"We call on all Trans Nzoia residents to join us in this demonstration, we should all join hands to demand what is rightfully ours," said the branch Chairman Edward Cheruiyot.



He faulted the county government for failure to sign the CBA in which the nurses only demanding 7.2 billion for four years and yet the terms and conditions for Doctors who were demanding 10 billion were fulfilled and that of lecturers.



He urged the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) and the Council of Governors (COG) to listen to the nurses' plight and sign the CBA for them to resume their duties.


The Doctors unions have urged the government to follow their CBA or else they will completely close down all public hospitals. They Doctors Unions have also urged that hospital cannot be run like a private entity.



The Ministry of health has been in strike turmoil since 2013 when the Jubilee came into power. The Council of Governors has vowed to sack all practitioners involved in the strikes.
