John Kazungu from Kilifi county was arrested and charged with defilement in Malindi courts. The official from the county was charged with impregnating 15 years old child. The child who is almost 6 months pregnant, living with her parents in Kilifi, to him John Kazungu to Police after they discovered their class five daughter was pregnant.
The county official disappeared until yesterday evening he was arrested in Malindi. He was with his friends in one of the town bars.
The child named John Kazungu as the culprit saying he has been sleeping with him for the past two years while supporting her with little cash for pads, books and pocket money in school for buying sweets and fried potatoes.
The Kilifi county official will be charged not less than four years imprisonment. After the arrest, he was later transferred to Shanzu and probably will be at Shanzu law court where his state or verdict will be known and probably taken to Shimo la Tewa prison. The county has been in constant child defilement cases as poverty and illiteracy have taken a better center stage.
The parents were forced by their neighbors to report the matter to the nearest police station. The Parents had made their minds to wed their child to Mr. John Kazungu in a home cultural and simple handover wedding.
