Nairobi county Jubilee MCAs gang up to impeach their governor Mike Sonko. The MCAS have expressed concerns that the resignation letter that his deputy Polycarp Igathe submitted was due to Governor Sonko mischievous and county- state heat.

"We have agreed to table a motion and a bill to impeach governor Sonko. We have to know confidence as MCAs to be governed by a leader who has little to no vision for Nairobi," said Kawangware MCA Njogu Njoroge.

"Igathe did not just wake up and submit his resignation just that. We know what the Governor's plans are and we will make sure he suffers first. We have evidence of what conspired Igathe resign and we are going to crack it down soon through Nairobi county assembly." Riruta MCA Kariuki James Kiriba said.

It is seen to be hotter at city hall following the controversial resignation of the former Vivo boss and deputy governor Polycarp Igathe.  The Jubilee MCAs said to have also approached the Opposition MCAs to impeach Governor Sonko.

It is speculated that the MCAs need a by-election in Nairobi county to outwing Sonko. The Jubilee MCAs wants Polycarp Igathe to compete with Sonko in the by-election which is seen to have taken it in another more controversial direction. Governor Sonko will be the first Governor to be impeached in Nairobi and in Kenya if the MCAs excuted successfully. He will also be the shortest serving elected governor in Kenya.
