Larry Madowo ends a five-year writing contract with Nation Newspaper

Larry Madowo criticised his employer newspaper "the Nation newspaper" after the editors failed to add his column. The 4 year nation newspaper columnist said to have ended the contract.



NTV news anchor Larry Madowo has cancelled his contract with the Daily Nation to write a weekly column, Front Row, every Tuesday.


 
Madowo said he terminated the contract on Thursday last week after the paper "refused" to publish his piece last week.



"This week, the @dailynation refused to print my column for the first time in nearly 4 years. The irony aside, the same piece is now published on CNN," he posted on Twitter on February 9.



The said article was published in CNN and other international media rather than Kenyan media. Madowo added that the Kenyan media is compromised and it will be hard to bring change in Kenya.
