Fracas at statehouse as Machakos Governor Dr. Mutua Forces himself as Kamba Kingpin.

Machakos governor Dr. Alfred Mutua had a crash last week with other governors and members of parliament from Ukambani area following the statehouse meeting in Nairobi. Kitui governor Hon. Dr. Julius Malombe, Makueni governor Hon. Kivutha Kibwana and Embu governor Martin Wambora had a meeting as how to make Ukambani better. This meeting did not involve Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua and he was expected to be out of the country.

This meeting did not involve all leaders in the area, like the Ukambani Kingpin from the coalition and reform for democracy and former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka, Former lands cabinet Secretary Hon. Charity Ngilu and other former leaders of Ukambani.

What happened before the meeting was such a terrible and embarrassing moment. The Machakos governor press body included the governor on the list of VIP and he cancelled the trip to attend the statehouse meeting. This is where the drama started with other governors as explained by the leader  who organised  the meeting from the start, the Kitui Governor. The Machakos governor forced his name  Chap Chap as the name suggests, he is the leader and founder of Maendeleo Chap Chap party.

The Governor forced his name to the list and a speech in statehouse which rendered the organisers to shut up and shocked. The names of the people who were supposed to give speeches some were completely removed from the list. The team of experts from Ukambani who went to the state house to look for ways of improving the standards of the people in their area was sabotaged by the way things changed in the last minutes. The main aim of the meeting with the president was to look for means and ways of improving the area in terms of infrastructure and common and essential elements for the people of Ukambani instead of politics every day.

The meeting eventual turned into politics when the Maendeleo Chap Chap leader started giving his speech. The organisers felt bad and disappointed because the aim of the meeting was by far not achieved. They will be planning another meeting to streamline the their thoughts and action to be taken when others evade their meetings in future. The area is facing calamities and drought. The major problem is water as there is no enough water in the area especial Makueni and Kitui counties. They have a major challenge of providing fresh water to the citizens. Then drought has seriously affected the people as rain is the way of making food on the table or else irrigation is the answer from the borehole projects undergoing in the area will suffice. These projects of improving livelihoods is what took them to the statehouse and especially to meet the president.
