In Madaraka day celebration.

Cord leader Raila Odinga led Madaraka day celebrations at Uhuru park in line with another meeting held at Afraha stadium led by the President Uhuru Kenyatta. The celebrations who happened in Uhuru park was led by the CORD principles and KANU secretary general Nick Salat. The leaders who were in the rally were Hon. ODM chairman Johnstone Muthama, Hon Moses Wetangula, Hon. Anyang' Nyong'o, Bony Khalwale and Kalonzo Musyoka on the phone from China.



Wetangula talked about IEBC and it will need to be done before 5th June, where else on Monday they will be on the street. He also added that the country will not go back to what happened with the election in 2013. He also added that someone said that opposition is in friendship with Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. Hon Wetangula said, " projects have been diverted to other countries like Uganda goes to Tanzania, Rwanda to Tanzania, S. Sudan goes to Djibouti.Kenya has no friends in the neighbouring countries due to bad governance " , "Tutaonana MunduKhumundu if Jubilee declines talks or again if the talks will not happen at all then there will no elections happening in Kenya".

These words were seconded by the cord leader Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga about the IEBC campaign. During the Rally youth caused chaos as they wanted "Baba" to dance. It made Hon. Raila to cut short his speech for the LUO song. Hon. Raila Odinga reminded the congregation about the history of Kenya about "Uhuru na Kenyatta"  In the Rally the opposition said that they will nominate and avail the board to meet with the government for dialogue. The opposition also added that their leader with Former president Kibaki put chairman of IEBC Issak Hassan to power but now he is like a child who is now a thief. So he has to go to jail even if Hassan was appointed by the conjunction of their leader and former president.
