A man was forced to abandon his child because of difference in religion. The Man from Kwale county in Coast region was forced to let the relationship sink in cold waters because the parents refused to accept the woman from a different religion. The Muslim man from Ukunda in South coast got himself on the wrong way as the parents refused to accept the dowry and negotiations.


The woman named Lilian from Shimba hills who is the first born in the family of six, got engaged with Ismail from Ukunda. The Ismails' parents refused to accept them in their relationship because of religious differences. They had been dating for six years and their anticipation and dream of getting married died as the parents already checked for an alternative for their son. They had a child in the third year of dating. The parents decided not to marry the woman as they needed to have a virgin for their son and-and not someone with a child.


According to the neighbours, Lilian came to the husbands' homestead pleading the parents to accept her with the child but it did not bear any fruit. Now the lady is leaving in the grief of losing her lovely partner because of the parents who are looking forward to giving him a virgin as it is according to Qua-ran.
