MICROSOFT Likedlin's Lynda.com hacked and latest results shows more than 60,000 accounts compromised.

LinkedIn was hacked today in the morning forcing the company to close approximately 60,000 accounts. According to the latest reports, Microsoft Linkedin lynda.com was hacked by anonymous from the dark web.

Microsoft has also announced the data breach on their newly acquired firm and the data that was accessed on the microsoft platform. The breach was on the courses offered by the company and the people who took or taking the courses.


The Hackers accessed a database containing 9.5 million accounts information such as customer’s names, email addresses, and courses viewed online.The company said in a statement on Saturday that the  first reported breach was by the tech blog VentureBeat as announced by the lynda.com officials. “We are informing you of this issue out of an abundance of caution,” the note said.

LinkedIn, whose headquarters were in Ireland was acquired by Microsoft in partnership with Yahoo. The professional social networking site, purchased Lynda.com for $1.5 billion last year and later Microsoft announced its intention to acquire LinkedIn for $26.2 billion in June, a deal which closed this month. The deal closed last month which followed by an attempt from hackers who used DDOS and rendered the services unavailable.  The weekend attempts and today success of the  database being hacked is a major blow to the Microsoft.
