Kilifi County commissioner Joseph Keter said that the officials from the county are funding outlawed group called "Wakali Kwanza and Wakali wao". The groups are funded by the top businessmen and politicians in Kilifi.

The groups which evaded the towns of Mtwapa and Vipingo are expected to disturb rallies from specific parties in those areas. "Wakali Kwanza" which are in Mtwapa terrorises the resident at night in the streets of the town. "Wakali wao" group are at Junju in Vipingo. The group's harras Majengo, Kikambala residents either during the day or at night.



The outlawed groups which moved from Kisauni in Mombasa, established a new base in Mtwapa which businessmen and politicians use them for demonstrations and rioting.  According to the Kilifi county commissioner, the groups are hired to destroy the peace in the county.



"Politicians use public funds to facilitate the outlawed groups to cause chaos in the next year's general elections. Instead of benefiting the local person, the county funds are used to fund outlawed groups to fight with others during rallies. We have contacted Mombasa county police headquarters to assist us with intelligence and more Police to deal with them. " Said County Commissioner Joseph Keter.
