The NASA presidential Aspirant Raila Odinga is leading the polls conducted immediately after he was endorsed to be the flagbearer. Odinga popularity increased following the decrease of support from the incumbent president Uhuru Kenyatta. The decrease is caused by the increase of living standards.

The Majority of people from six regions out of eight have no confidence in the president as there is increased drought with no emergency food security measures. The price of basic commodities has increased tremendously as the cost of Unga hit Ksh 170 again in some parts of the country.

The Cost of living and inflation has increased as the country plunged into debts from all over the world. The country debt has reached 4 trillion from the past four years from the former president Kibaki 800 Billion in 2012.

NASA leader Raila Odinga support has increased from 42 percent to 46 percent as President Uhuru Kenyatta declined from 45 to 40 percent support. The president has 98 percent in Central Kenya and 60 Percent from Rift Valley.  The support from the Rift Valley decreased following less support from the Government as compared to Central Kenya.

President Kenyatta waived the majority of farmers debts while left the Rift Valley farmers in a shock. Both areas grow Tea and Coffee but the president waived on in his backyard.

The introduction of the Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto in the NASA coalition and the tough stand of Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok also decreased his support. "I don't want your votes..." The statement he made in Turkana waive the whole county to NASA.
The majority of people support Raila Odinga saying that the Coalition government was better as food and other important commodities were affordable while the four years of the President Kenyatta nothing has been affordable. They claim that if he was able to mine corruption in the current government then the same spirit will enable him to rehabilitate the corrupt country.
