Kenyans to expect empty shelves of Unga in the supermarkets soon. according to the manufacturers and Millers association, the required amount of bags to be milled to sustain the country are beyond reach. The imported maize that traded at sh. 90 per packet is almost finished.


The companies which had a larger share of the controversial imported maize said that the commodities are almost done in their stores. The companies which include; Kitui flour mills and Mombasa Maize millers said that there is another vessel sailing with more than 30,000 Tonnes which will be expected in the country in July.


They told the members of the public to have a good stock because the another crisis is knocking.


Muslims across the country will go to the holy month of Ramadhan with no Ugali but with duty-free dates. The government has zero taxed the importation of dates in the coming holy Ramadhan season.



Farmers who will have their produce ready by mid-June are required to notify or sell the product to the NCPB to help other Kenyans. The crisis will be solved when all the farmers harvest by July and August.
