First African Betting company with its roots back here in Kenya SportPesa, has finally put its foot in Tanzania. SportPesa which become the only African company to sponsor top English football clubs in the English Premier League the likes of Hull-city and Arsenal, is now stretching its wings to our neighbour Tanzanians. And first beneficiaries from the betting company, was the Tanzanian national team of under seventeen famously known as Serengeti Boys. The company yesterday during the launching of SportPesa Tanzania, it gave out a Sh 50 millions for Serengeti Boys.
Welcoming SportPesa in Tanzania, was the Cabinet minister for Information, arts and Sports Dr. Harrison Makyembe and other top high profile leaders including music and sports Tanzanian stars. The managing director for SportPesa Tanzania Mr. Abbass Tarimba, promised that, apart from investing and creating jobs in Tanzania, SportpPesa will make sure it support all games inclusive in football, Boxing, Athletics and so on so as to grow Tanzania's mode of sports states to world class.
