The NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga welcomed the people from west Pokot led by the Jubilee county secretariat Jackson Cherop. "The people of west Pokot will do a door to door campaign for NASA as the jubilee has failed to assure their security," said the West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo.
the leaders were accompanied and led by Sigor MP Philip Rotino and West Pokot Women representative Regina Nyeri. Other officials who were in the group include Jubilee West Pokot county Secretariat Jackson Cherop and Maendeleo chap chap MCA candidate Kibii Tanyagori.
According to the leaders, West Pokot is not a jubilee zone and they will show it in the August polls. West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo claimed that he will mobilize all the leaders to defect from Jubilee and join other parties like CCM.
West Pokot has been hit by bandits and cattle rustling. The leaders said that the Jubilee party has no roots in the county and they will vote it out in the next elections.
