The Mombasa Jubilee Gubernatorial aspirant Suleiman Shahbaal has cried to his fellow contestant Ali Hassan Joho following allegations that the advertising companies blocked him from erecting billboards across the county.

The candidate said that the Advertising companies are used by the incumbent governor to block him from advertising his bid. The Jubilee members also cry over corporation from the county officials in requesting for rally grounds.

The county government has declined the mere allegations made by Shahbaal claiming that they are cowards and are busy looking for sympathy votes.

"My opponent has run scared with our rising popularity and threatened billboard companies with license cancellation should they host my billboards. The companies, Magnet Ventures and Adsite have refused to take my billboards. We today issued a statement to remind my opponent that Billboards don’t vote! It is the people who vote, and we are with the People. " Shahbaal said.

"Nothing can stop us from winning, threats and intimidation won’t work! We warn the County administration, who are operating with impunity, to stop threatening advertising companies with license cancellation should they allow me to advertise on billboards! My opponent has also set up a special unit to tore down our campaign posters and banners. We will deal with them. You can't muzzle the voice of the masses." he added.
