Several people have been reported dead and others injured in Kisumu and Migori. More than 7 People reported dead and 10 injured countrywide as indicated by the Kenya Red Cross.
The NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga withdrew from the race and urged his people to stay calm. The NASA strongholds have not turn out in large numbers and some areas reported violence. Raila Odinga will be expected to hold a media press briefing at around 6.30PM.
The opposition leaders urged people to stay at home or in their businesses and let the other people exercise their right to vote as their president requested. "Let the people of the Central Republic exercise their right because they said they fought for independence." Says James Orengo.
