The two heads of security in Kenya have denied police brutality. The heads which include the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet and acting interior CS Fred Matiangi have rubbished the claims that people were killed in the demonstrations.

The acting interior CS Fred Matiangi has denied the allegations that the University students were brutally attacked by his police officers. "The videos we are seeing on social media are not true. It is a gross exaggeration.Nothing like that happened. The police did not brutalize anyone." he said.

The Police spokesman Charles Owino also echoed the statements and claimed that people fabricated stories. "Police did not kill a child in Kibera or any other. We have enough information that the baby named Samantha had another disease but not killed by police. The photos of the UoN students going round on the social media are just fabrications. " he said.

The security officials said that they need evidence to authenticate the information which is in the social media. None have reported any incidence to the police for them to take action.
