NASA team has vowed to swear in Raila Odinga on Tuesday next week as peoples president. The details are scanty and the team working on the swearing-in has not commented but indicated it will brief Raila on Wednesday.

The move comes after the supreme court upheld the triumph of President Uhuru Kenyatta. “We are going ahead with the swearing-in, as planned,” former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama said.

“This position has not been changed by the court ruling, which does not come as a surprise,” Raila’s statement said.

In a statement through his adviser Salim Lone, Raila said the Supreme Court ruling had been delivered under “duress”, and the opposition would not recognize the new government.

Siaya Senator James Orengo will lead the team of swearing in Raila Odinga as the Peoples president parallel to Uhuru Kenyatta as Central republic president as claimed by the Raila Odinga spokesperson.
