Kenya's biggest Telecommunications company Safaricom has been awarded a 3 tier certification as the biggest company across the East Africa region holding the biggest and resourceful data centre. Speaking at the certificate award ceremony, the company data centre boss applauded the fact that Safaricom has had a good impact on the businesses in correlation with the customers' needs.



“We want to provide our customers with the best connection, in the best facilities, no matter where they are. We are glad to have an independent verifier declare that our facilities are up to scratch and are available 24 hours a day and meet the most demanding requirements of 100 per cent uptime,” said Mr Mulila.



“We are honoured to have the Thika Data Center certified for international best practices in data centre design and operations. The certification provides our enterprise customers with a differentiated service for which independent due diligence has been verified by a global expert,” said the Director Risk Management, Safaricom, Nicholas Mulila.


Safaricom got the recognition after its effort of making sure the country's businesses are online and also online with the 2013 president and country's development agenda.
