County government to rate lands and property owners in order to expand the tax bracket.
Property owners and land will be evaluated based on the KRA payable tax as well as county government revenue percentage in the same property.
The National land commission in partnership with Kenya Revenue Authority and county governments declared the property ownership to be taxed by both KRA and county government to raise funds for local leadership.
NLC wants county governments to ensure that all titled land is ratable in any form appropriate for local comic status.
In each county all land parcels to be declared ratable. Markets, bus parks and any public land to be surveyed in a matter of urgency and as well be able to be rated.
