Tenderpreneur has been the only way families, friends, relatives, and campaigners related to governors benefit from the counties across the country. They siphon Millions from inflated prices indicated in the Tender bids and financing.

Counties have been milking points for few people dubbed as "COWNTIES". Brothers, wives, and relatives to governors have benefitted from the tenderpreneurs.

"I Mohamed Bunow Korane do hereby make Oath and State as follows: That I have transferred all my 250 shares as a director/shareholder to Ali Dubow Abdi,” he said in an affidavit he swore on Friday.

Akad Construction is among 14 firms that have done business with the Garissa County government over the years which the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) are investigating for various tax offenses.

A company owned by the brother of Garissa Governor Ali Bunow Korane was paid more than Sh48 million for a tender last year, raising issues of conflict of interest, according to documents seen by partner media The Nation.

The same company this year was paid 27Million in a culvert tender. The Garissa residents now seek justice from the anti-corruption to investigate. Women, youth and people with disability are not getting any tenders despite applying and bidding efforts.
