Zimbabwe opposition hit the wrong foot after President Emmerson Mnangagwa announced that Protests in Zimbabwe are uncalled. The police today forced to use teargas to disperse Millions who went to the streets of Harare calling for AID and economic improvement.


The protesters who had already gathered in the city were violently dispersed by police. Several people feared dead as other nurse injuries in different hospitals.

"We aren't armed but the police just beat us while we were sitting on the street."

"Life in Zimbabwe today is worse than it was under [former president] Robert Mugabe," MDC politician Fadzayi Mahere told the BBC.
"People are marching against the continued hardship that they face. The cost of living has soared exponentially. We're back into hyperinflation."

"We fear the economy of our country could go down further as we speak. We are not in good plans to rescue our country. Our currency is gone. We are using foreign currency now." one protester shouted on the road in Harare.

The opposition, however, claimed the ban exposed the "fascist" government's true colours.  The demonstration by the opposition was to alert the government over the handling of the Zimbabwean economy, but police said they had evidence it could turn violent.
