Lack of houses in South Africa is still a problem for the natives. The majority of houses being built by the government goes to the whites.

A Cape Town-based "pressure group" Gatvol Capetonian wants to shut down the city center on Thursday protests

" We still have a problem, we are not yet colonized. The lack of housing for black people in the province, as well as "apartheid-style spatial planning".

"The main objective of this shutdown is to highlight the people's frustrations with a lack of commitment from the government in terms of deadlines when houses will be built and delivered," the organization said in a press release.

"We urge the public to be sympathetic to the plight of the poor and landless people and acknowledge the fact that this action is necessary," it added


Despite having a beautiful city if cape town, the majority of natives are still struggling with housing or basic needs at large.
