Kenya will undergo population counting exercise(Census) on 24/25 of August 2019. People who will not participate in the exercise will be jailed or fined not less than Ksh. 50,000.

The Ministry of planning will release the full results after six months.
The government also added that primary results of the 2019 census exercise will be released after three months. 


Acting National Treasury CS Ukur Yatani said an in-depth analysis of the population is expected to be ready within one year. 

“The basic reports of the census are expected to be released within six months,” he said during a Press conference on Thursday.

People are expected to stay at home at the night of 24/25 to make sure the exercise if fully accomplished.  The Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'I said that the government will not tolerate anybody who will go astray on the governing principles.
