Kilifi governor Amason Kingi opened the Kwajiwa market in Malindi town. Traders in Malindi have been waiting for a very long time to have a better market with proper shades.
The county boss promised Mtwapa residents and Mariakani will benefit soon. Two markets will be constructed in the two major towns in Kilifi county by 2021.
"We are grateful to have this market opened. We are fully behind this development and we need more in this town." Kadzo Charo a trader in Malindi said.
"Malindi waterfront project will be a boost to that tourist destination town. The beach roads constructions, the market upgrade and expanding of the Malindi airport is a good definition of true leader and servant of Kilifi county, " said Kilifi North Mp Owen Baya Yaa.
