A man cut-off her wife hand after failed to cook enough Ugali in Bungoma. Mr Martin Webukala is in hideout after police launched investigation over the action.

According to the neighbours, Martin came home early on Friday and claim to be hungry. The wife had already cook but the man insisted her to cook again because the food was served with his favourite relish.


Mrs Webukala refused to cook that made her husband angry. He took a machete and slashed her left hand. 


" I was with my son. I had already cooked supper at around 8.00pm. My husband usually comes home at 10.00pm or even 11.00 pm sometimes. That day he came at 8.30pm. I usually cook the same size, " said the wife.


According to the wife, the man insisted that could not sleep until more Ugali is cooked.

" I served him the Ugali with his favourite Chicken. He ate everything. He told me to cook again because he was not satisfied. But there was no sauce for the other Ugali so I refused to cook until he gives me vegetables to cook, " she added.


"He took a machete. As I was helping myself he slashed my left hand completely, " she added.


Domestic cases in the region are very common. The people have been cautioned by police to be careful when dealing with such cases.

Police have launched investigations and Man-hunt to arrest Mr Martin Webukala concerning his deeds.


His wife was taken to the county referral hospital for treatment. He made his wife handicapped.
