Kaloleni Road accident; Eight people feared dead at Makobeni bridge accident, Kaloleni

Two people died at the Coast general hospital from the Kaloleni-Mombasa road accident at Makobeni bridge. Six people died on the spot and several injured. The injured were rushed to Mariakani level 5 hospital and others taken to Coast general.

On Tuesday Morning several people injured following a road accident involving five vehicles at Makobeni bridge on the Mazeras-Kaloleni road in Rabai, Kilifi.

The accident happened when a saloon car which was heading towards Kilifi collided with a trailer heading to Mombasa from Kaloleni. The trailer lost control and steep slope bumping on saloon car and a Mini-bus. 

Rabai Member of Parliament William Kamoti, addressing the press at the scene, asked the Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) to move with speed and put bumps in the area.

People from the area were called out to identify their beloved ones at Coast general and Mariakani hospitals following the incident.
