Football Kenya Federation elections held at Kasarani stadium. FKF President Nick Mwendwa says its a democratic right for everyone.

" The main reasons that we are doing elections today is making sure that we take our football forward and as we embark on opening more branches across the country from the Division level to district-level and County level and the national level. " FKF President said.

" We are looking forward to having a place whereby people and especially youth will be able to motivate themselves again so that maybe they can go outside the country and as well as be able to get something to put food on the table for themselves." he, added.

" We are in the country where most of the talents and most of the sports activities are being funded by different companies especially from the private sector where the public and the government have sidelined some of the activities."

"We are looking forward to electing and have a good leader who will take us far in the future."

"We want to make sure we have changed football and sports in this country so that maybe we can be at the same level with whatever is happening in athletics or rugby and other sports activities across the country.  Football has been rather a low-level sports activity in the country, unlike other countries. " Nick Mwenda concluded.
