Residents of Lower Eastern and Coast are advised to stay in safer places, not along the two rivers flowing to the ocean. The rivers include River Tana and River Athi.
Residents of Kitui near Masinga or the Seven folks, Kibwezi, Magarini, Malindi, Tana Delta, and Gamba are advised to move to a safe place.
The Most affected villages along the River Athi-Galana-Sabaki include; Dwa(Kibwezi), Chakama(Magarini), Madunguni(Malindi), Gamba(Tana River) and Tana Delta.
The Meteorological department has urged county governments to provide support to the affected families.
For all farmers with small portions along the two rivers like in Madunguni, Kakoneni, Langobaya, Tana Delta and Chakama are advised not to step into their portions and wait until the flooding settles.
This comes just 3 days after the County governments of Kilifi, Tana River, and Makueni warned of the same. Madunguni, Kalulini, and Dwa Secondary schools are now impassable by vehicles.
