Just a month after KDF major killed his wife and children, a police officer hit his wife until she became unconscious only to be rescued by neighbours.
On 18th November Robert Muthama, a police officer, went home drunk and decided to 'discipline' his wife. Only screams and neighbors could rescue her from his boots. Two weeks later after reporting she's still helpless.
Not even Muthama's colleagues (police). " When will police offices take domestic violence as serious as any other cases. This officer battered his wife ruthlessly, she reported the matter but nothing has happened, " the wife said.
The National Police Service is in crisis as the domestic violence cases increase. Every week two cases are reported of Police families and relationships turning violent.
