Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji (DPP) has declared plans to create offices in remote or rural areas to allow Kenyans to conveniently report criminal matters.

The DPP said that the people in rural areas also need the services just like in Nairobi. He also added that DPP county offices will be opened to fast track remote criminal cases.

"We have decided to go to the grassroots and we will not wait for the people to come to us. We want to ensure Kenyans get justice from all corners of the country,” said Mr. Haji.

Speaking at the dialogue meeting in Isiolo town where residents were allowed to air unresolved grievances, Mr. Haji said his office has started collecting data that will guide it on appropriate investigators and prosecutors who will be deployed to the areas.

“The community dialogues, which allow Kenyans to air their grievances, will determine where the offices will be established as we endeavor to come up with policies to address the reported challenges,” he noted
