The impeached Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu got another blow after the court upheld its ruling saying the bail set was in consultation. The court insisted that Waititu is still blocked and cannot access the Governor's office.

The High Court ruled that setting of bail is a discretion of the judiciary and also upheld the ruling that instructed Waititu to stay out of office pending determination of his case.

“It does not amount to his removal from office. I agree it only amounted to a constructive measure. Neither the judge or the magistrate purported to remove him from office. He’s still the governor. A  judge can’t be accused of having removed him from office,” the ruling reads.
