Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko supporters protest in Kwale, Mombasa, Kakamega, and Machakos. They are demanding the release of the governor citing graft institutions witch-hunt.
Likoni crossing channel and Lunga-Lunga road is impassable as Sonko supporters burn tires blocking motorists plying the route. They're ranting for Sonko's immediate release.
According to City hall officials, the governor is being fought by the DPP Noordin Hajji himself after his family failed to grab land in Ruaka and other places in Nairobi.
The governor also is being fought for refusing to allow the land grabbing Plot Nairobi/Block 103/793 by Issack Abdullahi Ibrahim. Block 103/793 is a South C ECDE Centre and Children Playground.
The governor refused to let EACC Director of Investigations Abdi A. Mohamud help his friend and one Issack Abdullahi Ibrahim to grab and continue building a mall in Children Playground in Mugoya Estate.
The governor established the fight with EACC after the land grabbing deals invalidated by the city hall.
