Kisumu Governor Prof. Anyang' Nyong'i toured the upcoming Uhuru business park in Kisumu which is set to be open by January 2020.


The project is said to benefit juakali traders in Kisumu. The project will be inline with Kisumu industrial park which is ongoing. 


Kisumu County is poised to benefit from a Ksh 500 million project to put up the Uhuru Business Park Market that will see 7,500 traders stalls and 2,500 Juakali shades on the 23 acres land recently handed over to the County Government of Kisumu by the national government.


" Today I visited the site prior to its groundbreaking to scheduled to preside over President H.E Uhuru Kenyatta. " the Governor added.

" It's during this visit that I interacted with the members of the Juakali sector to discuss challenges that the project might interact with during the construction period." said the governor. 

" I later met the project's implementation team who arrived this evening from Nairobi ahead of the site handing over slated for tomorrow. My administration's commitment to see the success of this county resolution, " he added.


The completion of the project will provide safe spaces for trading, boost sales, enhance the quality of services under one roof and seller-buyer Interaction.
