In a case at the anti-corruption court, the EACC Coast region boss George Ojowi shocked the attendants when he stated that a police officer swallowed four thousand shillings in order to hide evidence.

In March 2017, a police officer attached to the Kisauni Dog Unit left detectives from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) horrified after he stuffed Sh 4000 in his mouth and swallowed the notes when he was ambushed soliciting bribes tuk-tuk operator.

He vanished before they could arrest him. The officer was caught red-handed asking for bribe despite not being in the traffic department.

“He took off with the money and swallowed it to hide the evidence, but we are following up with his seniors and we will catch up with him,” said EACC regional boss George Ojowi.
