Meru county benefits Ksh. 1.6 Billion miraa Market. The county got a boost after Miraa farmers cry over trading facilities in the area.

Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi applauded CS Mwangi Kiunjuri over the project. The county also will inject an additional Ksh. 100 Million to build sheds all over the county for the farmers. 

" Today, I launched the Muringene Ultra-Modern Miraa Market in Igembe Central Meru County. The two-storey market is expected to serve over 3000 Miraa farmers and 1000 Miraa traders. It will ensure orderly trading of miraa, " CS Agriculture Mwangi Kiunjuri said.

" I was accompanied by Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi, Igembe Central MP Hon.Kubai Kiringo and area MCAs, " he added.
