A 32-Year-Old Mary Mwikali Kavuu from Machakos, the prime suspect in the Brutal Murder of a 78-year-old German national Mr Detering Herman on 28th January 2020 in Malindi was arrested at Diani in South Coast by DCI Detectives based at the Headquarters.


 The victim's lifeless body was found at his room in Moriema Cottages by a receptionist, who reported the incident to the police. Forensic Analysis which placed the suspect at the Scene of Crime led the detectives handling the case to her hideout in Diani, triggering her arrest.


Further investigations are ongoing to establish the motive behind the appalling killing. The suspect will be arraigned once necessary police procedure is complete.

in another case, DCI detectives based at Tharaka Nithi County have arrested one Tobias Mnangala Sifuna aged 25 years at Ndaragwa in Nyandarua County, where he had gone into hiding.


The suspect who is an ICT expert and has been serving as an ICT Board of Management teacher in various secondary schools within Meru county is suspected to have hacked various secondary schools portals where he fraudulently received over Ksh 300,000 in his account from parents who were paying form one school fees. One laptop and several sim cards were seized from him.
