More students will now be able to join TVET institutions free from any age group. The statement came during the groundbreaking ceremony of Lang’ata Technical and Vocational Training College presided over by Deputy President William Ruto.


The Government has released Sh 1 billion today to complete the construction and equipping of 30 technical institutes across the country.
The construction will increase the number of students joining the technical colleges as some have run out of space.


This is in addition to extending financial support in the form of loans and bursaries to learners to enhance enrollment. Some of the funds will enhance learning through loan revolving kit in the TVET institutions.


" The renewed focus on technical training will impart concise and market-relevant skills to our youths thereby boosting their employability; crucially, the technical skills gained will provide a solid foundation for the Government’s development agenda via the Big Four and Vision 2030, " said the Deputy President William Ruto.


During the groundbreaking and the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the Lang’ata Technical and Vocational Training, Lang’ata, Nairobi County. He was accompanied by Nairobi Senator Johnstone Sakaja and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
