Muranga Women Representative Sabina Chege has launched several projects funded by the state. With her constituents at Iregi village, Nginda Ward in Maragua Constituency during deliberations on National Government project worth 250M Irrigation project which will kick off on 28th February 2020, Hon. Sabina Chege saying the project will change the lives of many in that area.

 " This project will be a great boost to the farmers for it will increase farm production hence increment of their produce and direct capital from their farms, she said.

Among the leaders present were Maragua MP Hon. Mary Waithira Maua, NCIC Commissioner Madam Wambui Nyutu, Nginda MCA Hon. Machugu, Murang'a county government Water and Irrigation CEC Hon. Paul Macharia, Murang'a South Assistant County Commissioner (ACC) Mr Alex Mukiandi and National Irrigation Authority Engineer.


Before heading to Iregi Village, Hon. Sabina Chege joined coffee delegations from coffee farmers, coffee cooperatives leaders, Murang'a county government coffee department, Treasury officials and New KPCU Board at Nokras Hotel in Murang'a town to deliberate on how Ksh 3 billion Coffee Cherry Fund will revolve to coffee farmers as per the President's directive.

A strong bill of regulations has been drafted by the New KPCU Board to govern the fund on how it will reach and benefit the farmers directly and she promised the board of full support for passing the regulations on the floor of the house.


At Kinyona ward, Kigumo constituency for public participation towards the construction of Mau Mau road as well as Kinyona-Njabini road that will cut across Kigumo constituency, Hon. Sabina Chege directed the constituent to be cooperative to the Road construction authorities. The session was moderated by KENHA officials.

" Mau Mau road will be a great asset to the people of Kinyona and the whole county at large as it will open up the area economically, " she said.
