Busia governor Sospeter Ojamoong says he proposes BBI because it has all a politician and an ordinary citizen wants.

The issue of trade imbalance caused by international treaties signed in Arusha need to be reviewed to save border Counties.

Allocation to counties once enhanced to at least 35 per cent of the latest audited accounts will see each of the 35 wards receive at least Sh100m in Busia.

That means each  MCA will be capable of tarmacking 1km of road every financial year, an historic achievenent indeed.

Kenya is blessed with a diverse population in terms of race, ethnicity, culture, religion, social and economic circumstances, thus the need to embrace inclusivity which is captured in the BBI report.

County residents support President Uhuru Kenyatta's fight against corruption although it needs to be structured to achieve desired goals.

Busia county will host the first  assembly of all MCAs in Kenya. The agenda will be to push for pensions of MCAs and Governors considering that Members of parliament and other public servants  receive pensions.

" I urge county residents to read the BBI report which will improve governance, and submit their proposals for inclusion in the report, " he said.
