President Uhuru Kenyatta blocked transactional-based content service providers saying they are making Kenya tradition hard as well as immorality increase because they are tax-free.

No more Skiza or Viusasa. The President also added that content providers should be kicked out of the market as already ordered the Communication Authority through ICT to suspend such programming.

He also said that the companies who provide such programming are already being taxed and such content should be blocked because there is no revenue to the government. Transactions involved in such organizations are outside revenue collection entities.

The content providers have been given 30 days to take down the programs.

“The current sector structure which comprises of content service providers who work with digital platforms such as Skiza and Viusasa will be eliminated and this is because they sit outside the collection management organizations, " he said.
