Three Robbery with Violence suspects who last night stole over Ksh. 800K Cash and Five Smartphones from a Businesslady at Ng'arua, Laikipia County were early today arrested by DCI Detectives.
Ksh. 147K Cash and the 5 Mobile Phones were recovered. The suspects are placed in custody and being interrogated.
The lady who operates a Mpesa, KCB and Equitel Mobile Banking Agency while in her sister's company were accosted by the gang armed with two AK47 Rifles who fired in the air before snatching the bag containing those properties as the duo was heading home.
They then disappeared into a maize plantation after which the victims raised alarm and the detectives mounted a manhunt.
Samuel Kanyoro, Antony Ngunjiri and Samwel Rokiking arrested with the cash.
The recovered phones included one used for Equitel Agency Banking with a float of over Ksh. 2Million in the owner's account.
The pursuit of more perpetrators believed to have disappeared with the rest of the money ongoing as of that arrested pend arraignment on Monday.
