President of Zanzibar, Dr. Mohamed Shein, said that due to the good revenue collections, the Government of Zanzibar could increase the salaries of public service workers.
As the adjustment of the workers' interest caps in salaries that were made in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017, the government came to the conclusion that the surplus is rewarded to public servants.
"Given the positive circumstances that have increased revenue collection, do not be surprised by this year we add anything your accounts to motivate you(Employees) "
