China Southern Airlines suspends flights to Kenya over coronavirus public scare. One of the officials at Southern Airlines said the public in Kenya has resulted in racism and hostile to Chinese nationals.

The public hostility has made the management of the airlines' halt until the virus is contained.

Two days after resuming flights from China to Kenya, China Southern Airlines has again suspended flights to Nairobi amidst a public outcry over the coronavirus.

However, the China embassy dismissed the claim. They said the passenger volume was inadequate.

The airline, according to a statement from the Chinese Embassy in Kenya has canceled flights not because of the coronavirus but due to the “decreasing volume of passenger flow.”

"Due to the decreasing volume of passenger flow, China Southern Airlines has made necessary adjustments by suspending flights connecting Guangzhou, Changsha, and Nairobi until further notice,” read a statement posted on the embassy’s Twitter page
