Baringo deputy Speaker Ameja Zelemoi has been impeached. Out of 45, only 5 members tried to save his status.
The motion which was moved by Assembly Majority leader Lawi Kipchumba was voted in support by 36 of the 45 MCAs. He had been accused of gross misconduct and abuse of office.
" He has been sidelining with national opponents. He has been using the county resources funding Building Bridges Initiative community mobilizers. We have impeached him because of increased office abuse, " an MCA said.
