Meru building bridges initiative (BBI) summit still under scrutiny after a section of residents in the region faulted the organizers and the management over unpaid dues.

The delegates signed for Sh. 5,000 as promised only to be given Sh 500. They vowed to block any BBI rally in the region if their dues are not paid.

MERU DUES

" We hereby give notice to the organizers of Meru BBI to pay up dues to the people of Mt Kenya or we will mobilize them to demand their rights. We were promised Ksh 5,000 for the normal delegates and Ksh 10,000 for "super delegates, " said the delegates.

" We were paid only Ksh 500! Who stole money that was to trickle down to Wananchi who woke up at 2 am? Delegates kept their part of the bargain and the organizers must also respect the people of the Mt Kenya region by keeping their part, " they stated.

" The secretariat has Ksh 10 Billion and the confidential vote from Interior Ministry has enough money that we understand was released but never reached the intended pockets. To the organizers, before Nakuru, kindly sort out Meru dues, " they added.
