Health CS Mutahi Kagwe launches coronavirus emergency isolation and treatment centre at Mbagathi Hospital. The Isolation centre is fitted with 120 beds.


The President gave the ministry seven days to complete the facility in readiness with the outgrowing number of infections across the world. Kenya had two cases of alleged coronavirus.


But after testing them, they were found to be negative. County Governments have been advised to set up emergency facilities over the coronavirus infection in their level four and five hospitals.



Kenyatta Hospital will also be equipped with a separate wing with 300 beds as a backup of the already established Mbagathi hospital coronavirus emergency centre.
